Welcome to Police Beat 312. I am Officer Eric Duerig, the primary contact and Beat Coordinator of 312. I was hired by the Skokie Police Department in 1988, proudly serving in my 29th year! I am currently assigned to the dayshift working from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Beat 312 is oddly triangular shaped and located on the east side of Skokie. It consists mostly of residences, industry and commercial businesses.
The western border of Beat 312 is East Prairie Road; the southern border is Oakton Street, the eastern border is just east of McCormick Boulevard (NorthShore Channel); and the northern tip of the triangle is Golf Road/Emerson Street. Middleton School is in this beat as well as Skokie’s Sculpture Park and numerous businesses along Dempster, Oakton, and McCormick. Alleviating traffic congestion and serving the homes and school are the primary functions of Beat 312 Officers. We are happy to stop by any of your special events. Let us know how we can better serve you!
The Officers in Beat 312 strive to adhere to the mission of the Skokie Police Department and the community policing philosophy.
